The gardens on the tour showcase the many benefits of gardening with California native plants: they provide habitat for native pollinators such as butterflies and bees and native birds such as colorful songbirds and hummingbirds, and they all feature the rich scents of aromatic plants such as sage, sagebrush, and California lilac.
